Dear Bill and World Tai Chi & Qigong Day,

In Cairns Australia we had a gathering of 30 people – all looking forward to the peace and tranquility of training in the outdoors under a huge Raintree in the Sugarworld Botanic Gardens in Edmonton just south of Cairns.

We had the beautiful Ulysses butterflies flying among the participants and sometimes landing on someone's shoulder - obviously attracted to the harmonious energy emanating from the group! We did our warm-ups and then performed Qigong exercises for an hour. After that we shared a delicious morning tea (including homemade Butterfly Cakes!) and we sincerely offer thanks for the generosity and support of a number of organizations and individuals who helped make the day very special. They are the Botanic Gardens Curator, Peter Piconne of the Hambledon Hotel, John from Rydges Tradewinds Cairns for providing hot water urns, and Ann O'Rourke and Karen Graham for the yummy cakes!
