Although celebrations began in September, the large celebration is coming up on October 7, 2007. This Brasilian event is being held with the support of government ministries, and tourist organizations in Brasil. This provides a model for other groups, worldwide, for organizing as well. - Cultural Competition of the Poster "Tai Chi - 33 years in Brasília - Square of the Universal Harmony", for students of the Midle School at the Center of Basic Education of the 104 North and Park School of the 303/304 North

September, 2007

- Demonstrations and gratis practice of Tai Chi exercises offered by the instructors of the ABT (in front of the Fair of the Guará, Fair of Planaltina, Tower of TV and in the Monumental Axle (Eixão).

October, 2007

Place - Square of the Universal Harmony (EQN 104/105/)

6:00 to 7:00 am - Tai Chi, Chi Kung, Auto Massage and Assimilation of Solar Energy

7:30 to 8:00 am - Ecumenical Ritual of Gratefulness (by various institutions)

8:00 h - Communitarian Breakfast

from 9:15 am to 3:00 pm

- Official Opening of the event and inauguration of the commemorative plate to the 33 years of Tai Chi in Brasilia

- Plantation of trees

- Chinese and eastern artistic presentations

- Launching of the Tai Chi Chuan for people who suffer from physical deficiency in the legs

- Performance of Simplified Tai Chi - both 24 and 13 moves

- Unknown Presentation of Tai Chi - Chen Style - 19 moves

- Demonstrations of different kinds of Sports, Martial Arts, etc

- Drawing of 33 souvenirs

- Delivery of prizes to the winners of the Cultural Competition of the Poster "Tai Chi-33 years in Brasília -Square of the Universal Harmony" -

- Delivery of Certifications by Master Woo

- Greetings to the Square by a group of children, representing the future generations

- Happy Hour (a big cake of 33 kilos, decorated with symbols - yin/yang, five elements and pakuá - will be served)

OTHER SIMULTANEOUS ACTIVITIES

- Stands with Chinese and others eastern typical foods, artistic objects, expositions of posters, pictures and paintings, etc

- Leisure for children and Lectures on the benefits of Tai Chi & Chi Kung

National Canadian Taiji Tournament

The Canadian Organization of Traditional Taiji Associations is holding the 2007 Canadian Open Taiji Championships

Held at the Chinese Cultural Center of Greater Toronto in Ontario. To learn more, contact the national organization, or to attend, visit:
